Oconee County Council investigates the possibility of adding anabolic steroids to the list of narcotics

Employees of Oconee County (South Carolia) are going to be tested for anabolic steroids. The County Administrator Scott Moulder said about possible the Oconee County Council’s changes connected with the list of narcotics. There is a probability that anabolic steroids will be included in this list.
Since steroids are widely administrated by police officers in a lot of states, Wayne McCall, the chairman of the public safety committee, said about an important decision. The chairman stated that steroid testing should be performed in Oconee County. Wayne McCall explained what caused the decision to test employees for these preparations. According to Wayne McCall, anabolic steroids have too negative influence on people. They turn normal individuals to mad ones. Wayne McCall compared individuals that take anabolic steroids with “Magilla Gorilla” that can become aggressive and kill others. Thus, Wayne McCall believes that consumers of steroids are very dangerous persons for society. He points out that administration of these forbidden substances is an enhancing problem around the country. Even law enforcement officials and firefighters use these forbidden medicines which lead to behavioral problems and violent behavior.
The chairman claimed that certain officers and firefighters were similar to Magilla Gorilla, the star of the 1960 animated series “The Magilla Gorilla”. Wayne McCall noticed that such officers might destroy own health and life or even kill other individuals.
It was the first time when consumers of anabolic steroids were compared with the cartoon star Magilla Gorilla. Several persons point out that this comparison is quite ironical.
However it is said that steroid testing will benefit, it is necessary to remember that it will cost too much money from taxpayers funds.
