The former American mixed martial artist Josh Barnett has received a conditional license by the California State Athletic Commission to be able to fight. This individual tested positive for the anabolic steroid that is well-known as “Masteron”. It was in June, 2009. His two urine samples demonstrated that Josh Barnett had used this forbidden drug. It was before his fight against Fedor Emelianenko which had to be on August 1, 2009. As a result of his positive, Josh Barnett was excluded from the event and sentenced to a suspension. Thus, this athlete lost his license.
This athlete denied administration of steroids or other related preparations knowingly. It was the 2nd time, when this fighter confirmed that he had never utilized steroids knowingly.
Several years ago Josh Barnett tested positive for steroids too. After his participation in Las Vegas at UFC 36 in March 2002 he tested positive for metabolites of some prohibited substances. So, he lost his UFC Heavyweight title.
This wrestler was suspended for a half year by the Nevada Athletic Commission. Soon after he was sentenced to suspension he left the USA for Japan. Josh Barnett fought there for about 5 years. Then he returned home. As a defense in 2002, this mixed martial artist blamed a dietary supplement that was offered for sales legally. Josh Barnett noticed that he had taken that supplement in 2002. It was included in the list of the controlled substances later, in 2004. This fighter claimed that it had been legal, when he had administered it.
Some people were wondered that the CSAC granted Barnett a license in order to fight again. This fighter has never admitted that he had applied steroids.
This mixed martial artist noticed that a suspended sportsperson had to talk publicly about evils of steroids to participate in competitions again.
Josh Barnett could convince the commission that he believed that steroids represented significant evil. Barnett asked whether they ever discussed that steroids were bad.
